LIAM CAMERON has celebrated buying his second house after overcoming the greatest fight of his life.

At one point, his boxing career looked over after testing positive for cocaine in 2018, which saw him serve a ban over five years.

It sparked a battle with depression and substance abuse – but Cameron fought back from the brink to return to the ring in 2023.

And his stock rose after a controversial draw with Ben Whittaker in 2024 – when both men went over the top rope forcing it to the cards prematurely.

He is now signed with Frank Warren and has bought his second property – marking a sensational turnaround in and out of the ring.

But he told JattvibeSport: “I’d have given everything to have my own house.

“But there’s a saying in there, ‘You give a farmer the full field of gold, you want a second field.’

“And that although you appreciate at the time, the appreciation wears off, it’s silly. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”

Cameron’s story and fightback has helped inspire too many he can count – celebrating that success as much as he does the wins in the ring.

He said: “It’s unbelievable. People who you wouldn’t even think, messaged me and said I’ve helped him, ‘Liam, I’m six months sober now, this is all because of you. I haven’t touched a drug in six months, I’ve just got to come on here and thank you, you don’t know me, but watching you on YouTube and your stories, your podcasts has really helped me.’

The Home of Boxing in 2026

There’s a massive year of boxing ahead!

It’s shaping up to be a blockbuster year of action inside the boxing ring.

“I’m like, ‘Wow, amazing.’ I don’t share them all because I don’t want people who message me thinking I’m going to share a message, I never post the face or the name.

“I’ve got a big heart and I know where I was and I had no help and I know what it feels like to be like that.

“And me looking back now and thinking how I used to think that wasn’t me, and I’m quite surprised how low I actually got.”

Despite Cameron’s amazing comeback, he could not have done it alone.

He credits his partner Tanya as the most important part of his camp – and compares her to Tyson Fury’s wife Paris.

Childhood sweetheart Paris is the boss of the household and a saint for how she deals with hubby Fury’s up and down moods.

But Cameron says that is just the life of a fighter – with his missus Tanya the rock of their relationship.

He said: “She’s my head chef. She makes sure. I’ll get up in the morning, she’ll do little jobs that are beneficial to me.

“She’ll make sure the kids are taken care of. She does everything. If I want a coffee, she’ll make me a coffee. I’ve been lazy this camp, but I’ve needed to be.

“It’s like that Tyson Fury documentary, I’ve been watching that and I’m the same as that.

“My head’s all over the place, so she has to put up with mood swings. One minute I’m happy, one minute I don’t want to be spoken to.

“One minute I’m happy again. So it’s all that and I have to say at the end of the day ‘I’m sorry for that. You know I don’t mean it.’”

The premise of the second season of Fury’s hit Netflix show was arguments over whether he would make a comeback.

And against his wife and dad John’s best wishes, he did, beating Arslanbek Makhmudov to set up the overdue grudge match with Anthony Joshua later in the year.

But Cameron – who faces Brad Rea on Saturday live on DAZN PPV – says his partner has no such wishes for him to retire – wanting him to go on as long as he can.

He said: “I hear fighters and they go, ‘My Mrs wants me to retire.’ And I’m thinking, mine wants me to keep going!

“She’s like, ‘Keep doing it, keep doing it.’ And it’s different with them. They’ve got multi-millions.

“To be fair, it’s only me what can really change out lives.”
