JOSEP MARTINEZ has made another entry into the all-time Champions League howlers, to put Inter Milan 2-0 down against Real Madrid.
The Inter Milan stopper did his best to join the illustrious errors of Loris Karius back in 2018 by gifting Madrid their second of the night.
After receiving the ball back from Benjamin Pavard, the Spanish goalkeeper dwelled on the ball and invited Fede Valverde to come and shut him down.
When he eventually decided to try and turn, he had already left it too late and Valverde stole in to slot home and double the lead.

The shame for Inter is the fact that they started the game so well. They had six shots before Real mustered one, but now Jose Mourinho‘s men lead 2-0 from their first two shots.
Karius’ famous error eight years ago also came against Real Madrid, but in the Champions League final.
After taking in a loose pass, the German shot-stopper tried to execute a quick throw out to right-back, but Karim Benzema read his intentions, blocked the throw and scored.
