And that sent the tense last-32 showdown for another half an hour.

ITV cut to an advert break at the end of normal time.

But by the time they came back, the action had already resumed.

And that left viewers baffled.

One said: “Wdym they missed kick off.”

Another wrote: “Did we just miss kick-off due to adverts? Pretty poor from ITV if so!”

A third added: “ITV missing some actual football for their ad breaks.”
