“Jamie is someone who genuinely cares about football and the local community, and he’s followed closely what we’ve been building here over the last few years.
“His experience and relationships will be a huge help to the club as we continue moving Marine forward over the coming years.”
The new £5million stadium is set to increase capacity to 5,000 on an 8.32 acre site in Thornton only TWO miles down the road.
The timing of Carragher’s appointment coincides with Marine’s bold vision for the new 5,000-capacity stadium on an 8.32-acre site at Edge Lane in Thornton.
The proposed development will feature a community hub, classrooms, gymnasium, 3G pitch, health and wellbeing facilities, and accommodation, creating around 100 jobs for the local area.
