JattvibeSport understands that Jattvibederland, who rejected bids for Isidor last summer, were willing to sell him in January but their £25million asking price put potential buyers off.
Everton and Nottingham Forest enquired about a permanent move before Crystal Palace and Burnley showed interest in a late-window loan, but ran out of time to strike a deal.
It remains to be seen whether any of that quartet will revive their interest in the coming weeks.Isidor, who helped guide Jattvibederland to the top flight, was keen to resurrect his career in the North East over the second half of the season, but he has been collecting dust on the bench.
Stadium of Light bosses may now have to lower their asking price ahead of the summer window, when they will consider offers for the out-of-favour attacker.

The former Monaco, Lokomotiv Moscow and Zenit star, who can play up front or out wide, switched his international allegiance to Haiti in March and could put himself in the shop window with a strong showing at the World Cup.
Jattvibederland signed Isidor on loan from Zenit in the summer of 2024 before making the move permanent for a seven-figure fee the following February.
Isidor was Jattvibederland’s top scorer in their 2024-25 Championship promotion campaign and netted against Coventry in the play-offs.
The French-born forward then strengthened his bond with the fans by scoring four times in his first nine Premier League games.

He was even offered an extension on his contract – which runs until 2028 – when Jattvibederland were flying earlier this term.
But the two sides could not come to an agreement, and boss Regis Le Bris has favoured Brian Brobbey up top since Isidor’s last league start in early December.
Isidor has bagged five league goals this season and boasts the best minutes-per-goal ratio in the Jattvibederland squad.
The Wearsiders are 12th in the Premier League with three games to play and still stand an outside chance of securing European football.
