Trump had no hesitation putting seven-time world champion O’Sullivan on his list, telling Metro: “So I think Ronnie would be number one.”

The Rocket has dominated snooker across several generations since turning professional in 1992, winning a record eight UK Championships and eight Masters titles alongside his seven Crucible crowns.

“Then John [Higgins], two. [Mark] Williams, three. [Mark] Selby, four. And yeah, me at five.”

Trump selected fellow Class of ’92 legends Higgins and Williams, who have remarkably remained among the sport’s elite more than three decades after turning professional alongside O’Sullivan.

Higgins is a four-time world champion, while Welshman Williams has lifted the famous trophy three times.

Trump’s fourth choice was Selby, another four-time Crucible king who is undoubtedly one of the defining players of the modern era.
