HOLLY Willoughby’s showbiz pal Katherine Ryan has claimed the former This Morning presenter is being ‘blamed for the actions of men’ amid her comeback to the limelight.
The TV presenter, who launched new show Together last month, stepped down from This Morning back in 2023 following a tumultuous time – including her co-host Phillip Schofield’s public scandal and the arrest of a man who was plotting to kidnap and murder her.

Holly swapped her squeaky clean ITV image for her new show, which has featured expletives, cheeky jokes and interviews with X-rated adult stars.
However, the ratings haven’t had the presenter at the top of the box.

Now, comedian Katherine has defended Holly.
“I think she’s getting a hard time because she might have jumped the queue to see the deceased queen with someone who turned out to be a bit of a creep,” said Katherine, who was referencing Holly and Phil’s 2022 ‘queue gate’ – which saw the pair visit Westminster Hall to visit the late Queen Elizabeth and get priority access over the public queue

Holly’s new show is far from the daytime TV version we saw of her on This Morning Credit: Rex
Talking to the Daily Mail, she continued to reference Phillip’s ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair with a young male colleague, which is why he left This Morning.
She said: “I think what happens is we get blamed for the actions of men. Was she having an illicit relationship with a junior male colleague or was the man doing that?
“Was she lying to her wife about the state of the relationship or was it a man?’
Katherine, who has appeared on Holly’s new show, added: “And then this guy tried to kill her. So I think she’s been associated with something she didn’t do and traumatised by men.”
Gavin Plumb was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2024 for plotting to kidnap, rape and murder Holly.
After her longtime co-host Phillip stepped down from This Morning following his own scandal, Holly remained on the show for five months.
She then stepped away following Gavin’s arrest, in a decision made to focus on her family.
Since returning to the screen – albeit the smaller one, with her new show airing on YouTube – Holly has jumped back into to interviews and lifestyle content.
