The Kurukshetra police have booked a woman for allegedly killing her husband at their rented accommodation near Raj Palace on Pehowa Road.The deceased has been identified as Rajesh, a native of Uttar Pradesh, while the accused is Bimla Devi. The couple had been living in the rented accommodation for nearly a year.According to the police, Rajesh was allegedly stabbed multiple times with a knife. His body was found by the landlord, Rinku Singh, on Saturday evening after he heard screams from the house and went upstairs.Singh raised an alarm and alerted the police. Meanwhile, the accused allegedly jumped from the roof and sustained injuries. She was taken to LNJP Hospital in Kurukshetra, where she is undergoing treatment.A case has been registered at the KUK police station on the complaint of Rinku Singh.According to the complainant, the couple frequently quarrelled. He also alleged that the woman practised exorcism. Police, however, said the exact motive for the murder was yet to be established.Rajesh reportedly worked for Singh at his RO water supply unit. The couple did not have any children.KUK SHO Surinder Sidhu said the woman would be arrested after she was discharged from hospital. “It has come to light that the woman and her husband used to quarrel on a regular basis; however, the exact reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained,” he said.The SHO said the woman was still undergoing treatment and the body had been handed over to the family after the postmortem.
