A GANG of schoolboys have avoided jail for raping a “petrified” girl 15-year-old in a 90-minute horror ordeal and attacking a second at knifepoint.

Two teens, now aged 15, forced one girl into a “threesome” in an underpass in Fordingbridge, Hampshire, in November 2024.

They were also accused of raping a second girl, aged 14, in January last year along with a third boy, who was aged 13 at the time.

Both victims were “significantly outnumbered” and suffered prolonged ordeals, the court heard.

The boys all avoided prison when they were sentenced over the attacks today.

One of the 15-year-old boys was found guilty of one charge of rape while the other was convicted of three charges of rape in connection with the first attack in November.

The first defendant was also found guilty of one count of rape and the second defendant convicted of three charges of rape in connection with the second incident in January.

The youngest defendant, now aged 14, was found guilty of two charges of rape by encouraging the second defendant in the January incident.

The first defendant was also found guilty of taking indecent photos of a child and the second defendant previously pleaded guilty to four charges of taking indecent photos of a child.

Southampton Crown Court heard the first attack took place in November 2024 in the quiet New Forest town.

One of the boys – then aged 14 – had met up with a 15-year-old girl in a park after they began chatting on Snapchat.

Jurors were told she believed they were in a relationship and agreed to go to an underpass and perform sex acts on him.

The victim said she was “nervous” but “comfortable” when alone with the boy because she was feeling “some love towards” him.

But the court heard she became “scared and anxious” when the second boy, who was 14 at the time, and a third boy – not the third defendant – arrived.

Jodie Mittel KC, prosecuting, said the trio began “pressuring her and they recorded her” and they were “laughing”.

She told jurors the boys suggested they had a “threesome” which the girl “felt disgusted” about but went along with because she felt it was “the three boys against just her”.

She also feared might be thrown into a river if she did not comply with their twisted wishes.

The prosecutor added: “The word she used to describe how she was feeling was petrified.

“(She) says she did agree but only because she didn’t know what would happen if she didn’t say yes.”

The girl later described how she felt “numb” and was shaking while the boys were “laughing and recording what happened” over the 90-minute ordeal.

Ms Mittel continued: “She was feeling sick, felt like she was about to pass out, the other boys were recording whilst she sat in silence trying her best not to cry.”

Following the horror, one of the boys asked her “Why do you look so sad?” and bought her a drink to “cheer her up”.

Videos of the incident were later sent around and other people made jokes about the girl and she received messages calling her a “s**g”.

Ms Mittel added: “Sadly, you might think, (the two boys) didn’t seem to be very worried about what (the complainant) wanted or didn’t want to do or what she might be feeling and, we say, they just wanted to use her for the sexual things they wanted to do.”

The court was told the second girl was aged 14 when she was raped in a field in January last year.

She told police she had been with two friends before they went home -leaving her with three other girls before the three defendants arrived.

The teen claimed the first boy threatened her with a knife and told her to leave her phone with an Airtag tracking device in a convenience store.

She was then made to walk to a recreation ground and a nearby field where the blade was used to cut her clothes off.

The prosecutor said video footage recorded showed the girl with “her face buried in her hands” while she was raped by the first two defendants.

Lucy Paddick, of the Crown Prosecution Service, said: “This is a deeply concerning case which involved a disturbing level of encouragement between young boys, who acted together to rape two young girls in separate incidents.

“These girls were forced into sexual activity by boys who brazenly filmed the deeply distressing incidents.

“After speaking with the victims in this case and reviewing an extensive file of evidence, it was the Crown Prosecution Service’s case that these girls were violated and could not have consented to these terrifying encounters.

“The CPS worked closely with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary to support the victims and other young witnesses to give their evidence, and we commend them for the courage they showed throughout this trial.

“Our lawyers will work tirelessly to pursue justice for victims, and we will continue to hold those responsible for crimes of this devastating nature to account, regardless of their age.”
