One of the alleged masterminds of the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, Hamza Burhan, has reportedly been killed by unidentified gunmen in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), according to media reports emerging on Thursday.Hamza Burhan, also known as Arjumand Gulzar Dar, was said to be an Al-Badr terrorist commander originally from Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir.Reports claimed he was shot dead in Muzaffarabad by unknown assailants under mysterious circumstances.The 2019 Pulwama terror attack had left 40 CRPF personnel dead after a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a convoy in Jammu and Kashmir, triggering heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.While several media outlets have reported the killing, there has been no official confirmation so far from Indian security agencies or Pakistani authorities regarding the incident or the identity of the attackers.The development comes amid a series of attacks in recent years targeting wanted terror operatives and commanders based in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
