Linda joined the cast of Emmerdale from 2007 playing Carrie Nicholls, an ex-girlfriend of Tom King.
However, the soap star, who is married to her Brookside husband Sam Kane, 57, revealed that she had to leave the soap, after the cast were banned from taking weekends off – which she claims was because of former Emmerdale star Patsy.
The star revealed how her contract was coming to an end after a year on the soap, and it was up for negotiation.
Linda said as she lived in London, she wanted to go home at weekends to spend time with her family.

She revealed how, while she had been away filming Emmerdale, her son “had fallen over at school and cut his chin” and she wasn’t there to look after him.
But when she asked bosses for weekends off, this wasn’t agreed.
As she wanted to be back with her family, the actress decided to leave the soap so she could be, and said: “I just thought I can’t do this anymore.”
This is when Linda revealed her beef with Patsy, who had left the soap the year before.

Speaking about why she was annoyed with Patsy, Linda told the Lewis Nicholls Life Stories podcast: ” Yeah, it’s Patsy Kensit’s fault because they’d given her the weekends off because of the same reason.
“Because she lived in London and she got kids and it caused so much animosity between the rest of the cast that they said never again.
“When she left, they said, we won’t ever do that again.”
Linda’s career has spanned five decades, and she has become a firm fixture on TV
As well as Emmerdale, she has also starred in other soaps like Hollyoaks and Brookside.
The star also competed in Dancing On Ice and Celebrity MasterChef.
But she will forever be known as a true Page 3 icon.
Speaking to The Jattvibe about her glory days as a pin-up, Linda previously told us: “I was young and enjoying life and it was a very different time.
It was everywhere. It was a great career and I am where I am now because of it.
“I did lots of work with my clothes on as well, mind, but I know that everyone knows me for what went in the papers.
“I found acting late in life, though, and I may have made a career from it if I’d come to it earlier.”
Asked about her thoughts on OnlyFans, Linda candidly replied: “It’s not something I would entertain. I know that a lot of people are making a lot of money, but it just feels weird to me.
“Because it isn’t ‘only’ for the fans, is it? People can screenshot or film you and then it’s out there to haunt you for the rest of your life.
“What if your life moves in a different direction? I think sometimes the girls haven’t thought about when they have children, who might well see their mother in a situation she later regrets.”
