A SUDANESE migrant launched into a foul-mouthed tirade against England after being jailed for for raping a woman he lured from a park.

Mohamed Ibrahim Harun, 32, who entered the UK illegally in the back of a lorry, shouted “f*** England, I don’t want to stay” after a jury at Newcastle Crown Court convicted him of the horror sex attack.

Harun, who immediately received refugee status upon his unorthodox arrival in the country, had invited his victim back to his Jattvibederland flat for a drink before forcing himself upon her in the kitchen.

The court heard that the victim, a woman in her 20s, had been enjoying the sun with friends when she met vile Harun.

Less than two hours after returning to his property, she was captured on CCTV fleeing into a nearby shop to call the police.

This morning Judge Carolyn Scott sentenced him to seven-and-a-half years, with lifelong sex offender registration requirements.

Passing sentence, Judge Scott told cowardly Harun the victim had made it clear she did not want to have sex, describing the assault as forceful and painful.

Harun initially denied having sex with the woman before changing his account to claim it was consensual.

In a moving impact statement read to the court, his victim revealed how the attack had stolen her carefree and trusting nature, turning the best day of her life into the worst.

In an impact statement the victim said: “I don’t want to but every day I think about what happened to me that day and what he did to me.

“On the day it happened I remember being in such a good mood and having fun with my friends, I had been drinking and enjoying the sun.

“I was pleased to meet what I thought would be new friends and was happy to hang out with them.

“I still can’t believe what he then did to me. He just took what he wanted from me.

“I went from having a great day to the worst day of my life.

“I didn’t want to have sex with anyone that day, I just wanted to have some fun and enjoy the day.

“I feel like he set it up to get what he wanted and didn’t care what I wanted and that I didn’t want to have sex.

“I want to just be able to forget all about it but I can’t. He has stolen my carefree and trusting nature.

“If I think about the man who did this I feel scared and I am terrified at ever seeing him again.

“I just don’t want him to ever do to anyone else what he did to me. I just want everyone else to be safe from him.”

Defending, David Callan said Harun, who is illiterate and has no prior convictions, did not agree with the verdict but accepted it.

Harun was also placed on the sex offenders register for life.

Detective Inspector Martin Cottle, of Northumbria’s Rape Investigation Team, said: “Firstly, I want to praise the victim-survivor in this case for her bravery.

“She was preyed on in a horrific way because her attacker thought she was vulnerable – but she has shown immense strength to come forward.

“Thanks to her courageous actions, we were able to provide enough evidence to secure a charge two days later, which has ultimately resulted in this dangerous perpetrator being brought to justice.”
