LOVE Island’s Sean Fitzgerald appeared to be moving forward with Lola Deal, until he revealed it was all a ruse.

During Saturday’s episode of Love Island’s Unseen Bits, the primary school teacher revealed he had given Lola a ring of his that held sentimental value for him.

Lorenzo (L) and Sean talk about his special ring

Sean freaks out when Lola says she can’t find the ring

Lorenzo could not believe their ears when it seemed Sean had taken a huge step in his relationship with the police detective.

“She better not lose it,” Sean told him.

Sean then asks Lola where the ring was and when she realised it was not on her hand, started to panic and asked him whether it was special.

“I made it in a class,” he tells her.

But she was only joking and Sean is relieved

But Lola was two steps ahead of him and had been joking the whole time and actually knew where she put it.

Sean was seen to be telling Lorenzo that him giving Lola the ring was a “test” to see if she would treat the ring with the level of care he expected.

“You see if she loses that, we’re done,” Sean explains.

Besides the bizarre ‘test’, Sean and Lola have been going from strength to strength and widely seen to be the strongest couple in the Majorcan villa.

The same cannot be said for Ope Sowande and Victoria Onanusi who were brutally dumped on Friday’s show.

They were sent packing after being ranked the pair with the weakest connection by one of their fellow Islanders.

A text soon hit the villa to confirm that they had indeed been dumped from the Island.

Ope was left furious at the result as he screeched: “For f*** sake!”

He then was seen breaking down in tears as he sobbed into Sean’s chest inside the villa.

Speaking after his exit from the villa, Ope admitted that he had no spark with Victoria despite being paired up with her.

Love Island airs on ITV2 and is available on ITVX.
