LUKE LITTLER and Gian van Veen are on a collision course this weekend for a first meeting since their explosive Premier League bust-up.

The tungsten pair – who contested January’s World Championship final at Ally Pally – have been drawn in the same half of the two-day Nordic Darts Masters, which begins on Friday.

Littler, 19, is the No2 seed and would meet third seed Van Veen, 24, in the last four in Copenhagen if they both win their opening two games.

The Nuke takes on Norway’s number one Cor Dekker in the first round, while Van Veen, aka the Giant, battles Swede Daniel Larsson.

And this will be the world No1’s first appearance on the oche since picking up his second Premier League title, for which he earned £410,000.

St Helens thrower Stephen Bunting is the defending champion of the £100,000 World Series of Darts event in the Danish capital.

It was on stage in Manchester on April 2 when the Littler and Van Veen feud first began.

During a quarter-final game – which Van Veen won 6-5 – the reigning world champion threw his arms up in a petulant manner as the Dutchman had match darts.

Unimpressed Van Veen said Littler was “out of order” for his antics and claimed his opponent was celebrating the fact he had missed a key checkout.

While the world No3 has tried to draw a line under the feud, he concedes they will “never be best friends” following that incident.

The Warrington whizkid – who also did a crying gesture on stage – later said he was signalling to his girlfriend Faith and her dad in the crowd and not trying to put off his rival.

However, Littler did not help his cause by posting a screenshot on Instagram showing all of his trophy wins over a two-year period, while blanking out the European Championship that Van Veen holds.

Littler says he has no regrets over that episode and they will settle their differences on the dartboard.

While there is the possibility that it could happen at this month’s World Cup of Darts – England could play Holland in the final in Frankfurt – a reunion might happen even sooner than that in Scandinavia.
