A serious crash on the M5 in Somerset
A SECTION of a major motorway is expected to remain closed this morning following a “multi-vehicle crash” as drivers are warned to expect long delays all morning.
The M5 in Somerset has been closed southbound between J24 for Huntworth and J25 for Taunton, according to National Highways.

It is expected to remain closed until the late morning as cops carry out a crash scene investigation.
The northbound carriageway was blocked but reopened to traffic shortly after 4am.
National Highways said: “Information from scene indicates the M5 southbound will remain closed until late this morning, for Police Accident Investigations.”
A witness told Somerset Live: “M5 Southbound just before Taunton junction has been shut due to accident.
