Maura was revealed to be the first contestant earlier this year.
It comes after she became the runner-up on this year’s US celebrity edition of The Traitors which became a major ratings hit Stateside.
She is the second UK Love Island star to cross over to America on the show with Ekin-Su having previously appeared on The Celebrity Traitors in America.
Dancing with the Stars is the latest show Maura can add to her belt.
As well as Love Island, she has also appeared on Dancing on Ice as well as I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
Her appearance on DWTS has already been a hot topic of discussion amid growing reports of tension on the show – stemming from the star.
Known for her forthright attitude and sharp tongue, Maura has given Russian dance pro Gleb Savchenko, 42, several lashings due to his messy break-up with her pal Brooks Nader, 29.
In a new interview with StyleCaster, Maura admitted she’d be a “nightmare” in the rehearsal room but when it comes to who she’s paired with she’d take “anyone but Gleb”, doubling down on similar comments she made recently.
The dance pro responded to the original comment by saying he’d never heard of Maura and called it “disappointing”, so her latest swipe is only set to upset him further.
Maura said Mark Ballas would be a good match for her following the friendship they formed on The Traitors, adding: “I think he’d be able to handle me”.
There have been fears Maura’s vendetta against Gleb could affect her growing fame in the US.
An insider said: “She is telling herself to just focus on learning her routines and not get distracted by any outside noise, but she is concerned Gleb could make things frosty backstage.
“Maura doesn’t want anything to dim the shine on this amazing chance for her.”
