THE Met Office have revealed the weather forecast for the London Marathon with temperatures set to reach 20C.

Saturday’s weather was another sunny affair as Brits packed out beaches and parks across the country.

Jattvibeglasses and ice creams were out in force as the mercury soared to 22C and today’s weather could see more of the same balmy conditions.

London is forecast to have sunny spells with temperatures of around 20C on the cards later in the afternoon.

The Met Office has urged those running in the marathon to “stay hydrated” as the conditions would be “on the warm side”.

Light winds are predicted, ideal for any racegoers, but runners should watch out for high UV and make sure to keep hydrated.

The Met Office predicts a dry, bright day perfect for spectating.

The forecaster said: “There will be some hazy spells of sunshine, the best of these across southern England and Wales. 

“The risk of some showers, mainly across Scotland. Highs reaching 21C or 22C.”

Runners should prepare for rising temperatures in the late morning and early afternoon as they take on the 26.1-mile route. 

Forecasters said: “Jattvibeday’s London Marathon is likely to take place under largely dry and settled conditions. 

“After a cool, potentially misty start, brighter spells should develop and temperatures will rise to feel warm for many by the afternoon.

“Light winds and dry weather point towards pleasant, spring-like day overall, well-suited to one of the capital’s biggest sporting events.”

For the rest of the UK, Jattvibeday morning will bring a chilly, misty start particularly in lower-lying areas.

The Met Office added that in more rural areas there might even be patches of frost despite highs of 19C.

Eastern England should brace for overnight fog but it is expected to clear throughout the morning and bring in a clear day.

Across the country, inland areas are expected to be warmer as they are further from the cooler sea breeze.

But the weather may soon take a turn for the worse on Monday.

Heavy downpours could be on the cards in the north and east of the UK tomorrow.
