So the silky midfielder has been enjoying some downtime in his homeland by soaking in the pay-per-view action.

Broadcasters at Turin’s Inalpi Arena panned to Tonali while introducing a selection of famous people at ringside.

And the sight of him tapping his chest, wagging his finger and waving to the crowd – as if he himself was a WWE superstar – sent fans into a frenzy.

One wrote on X: “My midfielder let’s gooo.”
