AN Airbus pilot “ducked” in panic in his cockpit when his passenger jet came “within metres” of a dark UFO flying over London.
The shocking incident happened on 1 June this year as the plane was flying at 6,500ft over Stamford Hill.

It comes after two other passenger jets had near misses with unknown objects coming into land in the city earlier this year.
In the latest incident, the A320 was making its descent into Heathrow Airport when a “black object” whizzed past by “no more than a few metres.”

An official probe was launched by the UK Airprox Board who revealed the risk of collision was “high”.
The report said: “The A320 pilot reports descending through roughly 6500ft downwind to RW27R, when a black object passed to the left of the flight deck by no more than a few metres.

“The First Officer was heads down at the time so just saw a black streak out the corner of their eye. The Captain was PF and it caused them to duck [due to its proximity]. They were not able to see any detail within the object.”
It added: “The NATS Investigation reported that analysis of the radar by Safety Investigations indicated that there were no associated primary or secondary contacts associated with the drone report, visible on radar at the approximate time of the event.
“In the Board’s opinion the reported altitude and/or description of the object were such that they were unable to determine the nature of the unknown object.
“The Board considered that providence had played a major part in the incident and/or a definite risk of collision had existed.”
In February an RAF pilot ducked in his cockpit when a UFO shot by at high speed while refuelling a Typhoon.
The Voyager tanker was refuelling a Typhoon fighter at 16,000ft off the Norfolk coast when the “black circular object” whizzed past.
It was estimated the unknown object came within 100ft-150ft of the two aircraft and was also seen by the Typhoon jet pilot.
Mysteriously the object did not appear on radar.
