I took one of the drinks every day for a month and, for a while, was frustrated by a lack of efficacy, until one day I suddenly felt it.
It was much like those days when you wake up and suddenly see just how different something is.
After a month of wondering if any change had occurred, I woke up, went to put my rollers in, and had the realisation that my hair felt thicker and that a broken strand from extension abuse had grown and thickened.
I started to get compliments on how shiny my hair was and, when brushing my hair, realised it actually had thickened, with old breakages now growing longer and the general hair texture feeling stronger.
So it definitely works – but there is one minor drawback.
I’ve tried the Vitabiotics Perfectil Platinum Collagen Skin drinks, which have a light, passion fruit flavour and silky texture.
The taste is definitely unusual but worth it for the result.

I will say this: one downfall of this product is the taste, which I don’t think will be for everyone.
But I guess it’s just like medicine: the worse it tastes, the better the results, and that definitely rang true for me with the Vitabiotics Collagen.
So, despite the taste, they definitely are worth the investment and have saved me a chunk of money in not running to put my extensions back in, as I feel I don’t have as much breakage and fineness to hide anymore.
I still have a way to go, but I’m looking forward to returning to this review in three months’ time to see the effects.

Overall, these collagen supplements are a great way to give a boost to fine, broken hair.
