Amos played a total of seven times for Man United, including four appearances during the 2011-12 campaign under Sir Alex Ferguson.
After a number of loans, he eventually joined Bolton Wanderers on a free transfer, playing 53 times for the club.
He later had stints at Charlton and Wigan before joining Vale in 2024.
Amos has featured in 41 games for Vale, helping them secure promotion to League Two in the 2024-25 season.

Vale have also released 34-year-old forward Gray, who is married to Little Mix band member Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
Gray made a name for himself banging goals in for Luton in non league, netting 57 goals across two seasons before bagging a move to Brentford in 2014.
He was then snapped up by Burnley in 2015 and helped them win promotion to the Premier League.
Gray also appeared for Watford and had spells in Greece, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, as well as a stint with Plymouth Argylle.
He only signed for Vale in February on a deal until the end of the season.
But he played just 11 times for the club and failed to score a goal.
