No further details of the nature of the relationships were set out in court.
The Nawaz brothers, who appeared via CVP link, are accused of entering into the relationships and encouraging and assisting in the commission of an each way offence, namely misconduct in public office.
They are due to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on July 7 and are expected to enter guilty pleas later.
The offences all took place between January 2024 and April 2024.
All four defendants are due to be sentenced on August 7.
Walton and Gascoyne were both bailed while the Nawaz brothers remain in custody, with Her Honour Judge Johnston saying she wanted to order pre-sentence reports.
But she warned the women that it was no indication of the sentence they’d receive and “all options are open”.
Haq Nawaz was jailed for 13 years and 10 months and Dil Nawaz for 12 years in September 2023 for heading a OCG gang with their other brother Asim Nawaz.
It is believed the gang distributed between £2.15m and £3.1m worth of crack cocaine and heroin over a 12-month period.
They controlled an “army” of drug dealers and runners in Chorley and Preston, which included exploited juveniles, who operated at street level.
Mobile telephone numbers were utilised as drug lines to advertise drugs for sale and to take orders for Class A drugs.
These blocks of texts were sent out several times within a 24-hour period, pointing to a round-the-clock distribution network.
It was the network of dealers and runners who operated the lines.
The operation involved several drugs lines and led to 30 people being arrested and charged and handed prison sentences totalling 132 years.
