On the third death anniversary of former CM Parkash Singh Badal on Saturday, his son, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal and daughter-in-law Harsimrat Kaur Badal, paid tributes to him through emotional social media posts.The former SAD patriarch passed away on April 25, 2023, after a prolonged illness at the age of 95 at a private hospital in Mohali.Till last year, the family used to observe his death anniversary on a large scale, holding a religious gathering at his cremation site, where a memorial was inaugurated on his birth anniversary on December 8, 2025.Notably, during Badal’s second death anniversary, the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) announced the establishment of the “Sardar Parkash Singh Badal Skill India Centre” at the late leader’s native village, Badal, as a tribute to his legacy.
