Sky Glass TVs from £4.50 per month

Prices for the new Sky Glass Air start from as little as £4.50 a month for the 43-inch model.

The newer Gen 2 range, which adds a built-in Dolby Atmos soundbar and upgraded display tech, starts from £11 a month.

The discount runs from May 7th to June 17th, giving football fans a short window to lock in the lower pricing before the tournament begins.

The World Cup will be available through the BBC and ITV apps built into the Sky platform, without needing a satellite dish or external box.

Sky Glass works as an all-in-one streaming TV, so setup is closer to plugging in a smart TV than arranging a traditional pay-TV installation.

Sky is also pushing the sports-focused side of its software.

Features like Watch from Start, live rewind, and voice search are aimed at live football viewing, so you’ll never miss a goal.

Sky Glass Gen 2 from £11 per month

The difference between the two TV lines mostly comes down to sound and picture quality.

Sky Glass Gen 2 includes a built-in Dolby Atmos soundbar and a higher-end display setup, while Sky Glass Air trims things back slightly to hit a lower price point.

That lower monthly price will likely attract attention, but

The cheapest headline prices are spread over a 48-month repayment period, and you’ll require a separate Sky TV subscription on top.

But bundles from £15 a month for the Essential TV package, while the Ultimate package adds services including Disney+ and HBO Max from £24 a month.

For existing Sky users, the value calculation will look different from what it does for someone starting from scratch.

For viewers already considering a new TV before the tournament starts, these discounts make the spend easier to justify.
