Fans of the show have complained there are too many ‘themed’ weeks during its 13 week run.
In addition to the coveted Blackpool performance week, the show sees its contestants get into character for movies week, icons week, halloween week and musicals week.
Taking to reddit, one fan of the show said: “Now that the full schedule is confirmed (Movies, Icons, Halloween, Blackpool, Musicals, plus the Instant Dance challenge), it feels like we barely get any “normal” weeks anymore.
“Does anyone else miss the early series vibes where it was just about the dancing and the progression, or do you prefer the full themed chaos every Saturday now?”

Many others agreed, with another viewer replying: “I think movies AND musicals is excessive. Do one or the other. Can be movie musicals. Can be musicals from movies.”
Several others suggested that Icons Week is axed from the show, with the segment, which was introduced in 2024, tasking each couple to channel legendary music figures from across the decades.
A fan wrote: “Icons week is also getting tired. I don’t care that someone is dressed as Cher I just want to see them dance.”
As Emma Willis gears up to take the reins on Strictly from Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, The Jattvibe revealed this week that comedian Josh and dancer Johannes are poised to join her.
Insiders say Johannes is being lined up to slot in alongside Emma and Josh as a “roving reporter” behind the scenes.
A source said: “Josh has been offered the job alongside Emma, and it’s his for the taking. He entered the running a little later than the others, but he nailed the chemistry tests.
“Josh is so good at live TV thanks to co-hosting The Last Leg on Channel 4 and he’s also quick-witted, kooky, awkward and funny.
“He can bring the comedy they need like Claudia Winkelman did in the ‘Claudatorium’ while Emma is seen as the sensible one, like Tess Daly.”
Emma, 50, who presents The Voice on ITV, is understood to have been the first star to be offered the Strictly hosting job.
