He was seen standing protectively over her looking at her bandaged arm, with fiancee Susie Verrill then planting a kiss on Daphne’s forehead.

Her big brothers then penned their names on her cast before she enjoyed a cuddle with her dad.

The little girl managed to raise a smile and she sat with a big fluffy dog and her arm in a blue sling.

Greg starred in Strictly in 2016

In his caption, Greg, who starred on Strictly in 2016, wrote: “Poor Daph it’s only been a minute since she went back to school after chicken pox (and only a day since me posting about it) and while me and @susiejverrill were in Southampton, we had a call to say she’d had an accident at a park and it looked like she’d broken her arm.

“And indeed she has broken radius and ulnar.

“Thanks so much to staff at Milton Keynes hospital for being incredible… she was so scared but they really put her at ease and she was made up with her matching broken arm-ed teddy.

“Home now and working out she can still do loads of stuff with just one arm”.

It has been a tough year for Greg’s family, with his seven-year-old son also rushed to the medical ward back in April.

Seven-year-old Rex was taken to A&E with appendicitis and had to get his appendix removed as a result.

Covering Rex’s face with an emoji, the youngster’s blonde hair was shown as he sat in a hospital bed in a photo shared on Greg’s Instagram Stories.

“We’ve had an eventful few days,” the Olympian wrote. “Finished up with TCA Camps on Thursday to Rex going straight in to hospital with appendicitis that night.”

In a second photo, which saw the tot lying in bed with his face covered once again, he added: “He was so brave start to finish and now back at home requesting all the food.

“Think those hours he was nil by mouth has scarred him.”

Greg previously joked that middle child Rex was “accident prone” just like him – with both of them suffering injuries over the last year.

Last year, Rex was taken to hospital again after a head injury.

Greg is also dad to son Milo, 11.

Greg has had his own injuries to deal with over the recently, previously showing off scars and swelling after he slashed open his stomach open in Dancing on Ice rehearsals back in 2024.
