From trips to the beach to barbecues, families across the UK are getting into the swing of summer.

However, retailers are already setting up for the festive season, with everything from chocolate tins to decorations already on offer.

Money Saving Expert, a Facebook page dedicated to finding bargains, shared a recent image of a UK Costco aisle.

“OMG, the first in-store Christmas finds of the year have landed at Costco. Merry Christmas everyone and a happy new year,” the poster joked.

The image showed a range of festive wrapping paper options, priced at £9.99.

Beside the wrapping paper, Costco shoppers could also pick up a new Christmas tree for £24.99.

And the superstore isn’t the only retailer getting into the Christmas spirit, with Tesco also stocking festive buys.

The Facebook page UK Newest Foods shared a video of a store with large stocks of chocolate tins, including Celebrations, Quality Street, and Roses.

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…in Tesco in July,” the caption reads.

And commenters couldn’t hide their excitement at the first signs of Christmas.

“Now THIS is what I want to see!!!!!” wrote one enthusiastic person, while another agreed: “This has made my day.”
