Pledging to work tirelessly towards realising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’, BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Saturday filed his nomination papers for a Rajya Sabha seat from Madhya Pradesh.Chugh said the opportunity to represent Madhya Pradesh in the Upper House was both an honour and a significant responsibility. “I am deeply thankful to the party leadership for entrusting me with this responsibility. I will serve the people of Madhya Pradesh with complete dedication and sincerity,” he said.The nomination filing ceremony was attended by several senior BJP leaders, including MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and state BJP president Hemant Khandelwal.Describing himself as an “ordinary karyakarta”, Chugh said the confidence shown in him by the party reflected the BJP’s commitment to recognise dedication, hard work and organisational values. Recalling his association with Madhya Pradesh as the party’s expansion in-charge, Chugh said he shared a special bond with the state.Congratulating Chugh, Yadav and Khandelwal expressed confidence that his vast organisational experience and commitment to public service would strengthen both Madhya Pradesh’s representation and the BJP’s voice in Parliament.Chugh’s political journey started at the grassroots level in Amritsar, where he served as a booth in-charge in Shakti Nagar in 1989.
