The shoes come in a variety of colours

Shoppers reckon they are a dead ringer for a pricier brand

And fashion fans have insisted their retro style trainers, available in a range of bright spring colours, are ideal for the season.

Describing the shoes online, the Tu team says: “A sleek and classic look at everyday footwear, these retro-inspired trainers feature a low profile shape with contrasting stripe details.

“Perfect for effortless, laid back styling.”

The shoes – which are available in sizes 3 to 8 – are usually £18. But with 20 per cent on certain styles, they are currently coming in at £14.40.

They come in four colours – a neutral, powder blue, bright sunshine yellow and forest green.

And with their twin stripes, they are a dead ringer for the much pricier sporty brand.

Customers agree that these are a must-buy, with the shoes racking up plenty of five star reveiws.

One happy shopper said: “Great trainer, similar to a much more expensive brand. Great value with offer price.”

And another commented: “Great design, great price and SUPER COMFORTABLE!”

A third delighted customer added: “Extremely comfortable and lovely colour.”

And a fourth says she’d recommend to others, saying: “Great looking trainer – bought the neutral. Bought whilst 20 per cent off so a great price.

“Very comfy, would say comes up true to size. Pleased with purchase. Would recommend.”

One shopper says she really struggles with footwear after having a stroke – but she was so happy with these, she’s snapped them up in a few colour ways.

She wrote: “These were in the sale so I bought them in various colours. I have balance problems due to a stroke a few years ago, and also having had my hips replaced.

“However, I found I can walk in these shoes without feeling like my feet are “all over the place” when I walk.

“I’m told this is because the very slim sole and very low heel means my feet can feel the ground better. Anyway, I love them and the fact they make is so much easier to walk is a huge bonus. Also, they are not real suede so are quite cooling to wear.”
