CASEMIRO had a horror show start to the World Cup for Brazil – and football fans were ruthless in their assessment of him.
The midfielder struggled along with the rest of his side in an entertaining first half against Morocco as Carlo Ancelotti‘s men fell 1-0 down at the MetLife Stadium.

Vinicus Jr equalised before the break but it could not mask Casemiro‘s problems next to Lucas Paqueta and Bruno Guimaraes.
Morocco sliced through the centre of the pitch and past Casemiro on the way to opening the scoring and only two outfield players for Brazil had fewer touches than the Manchester United man after half an hour.
United ace Casemiro – who still had just over two weeks left on his contract at Old Trafford despite announcing his exit earlier this year – was deemed to be among the biggest culprits for a disjointed display.
One viewer wrote online: “Paqueta, Casemiro looking absolutely awful”.

Another, riffing from Jamie Carragher‘s infamous quote about Casemiro, added: “the football left him, then it came back to him, now it’s left him again today.”
A third said: “This is the Amorim Casemiro on full show here”.
The 34-year-old was booked to cap off his wayward opening 45 minutes at the tournament.
Offering very little in possession, Casemiro looked a shadow of the player who won over United fans last season.
