US President Donald Trump has posted a series of images on social media, triggering speculation that the West Asia conflict could escalate again. The US President shared a string of uncaptioned images on Truth Social that appeared to underscore Washington’s hardening stance toward Iran amid stalled negotiations and a fragile ceasefire.Trump posted AI-generated images depicting missile strikes on Iranian boats, warfare in outer space, and an American flag over Iran.Within a span of a few hours, Trump shared more than 20 images, most of them suggesting a possible escalation of US military action against Iran. One image posted by the US leader showed a map of Iran overlaid with an American flag, while arrows pointed toward the Islamic republic from all directions. He also shared a video showing a US warship targeting an Iranian aircraft, with a clip of himself alongside it. In the five-second clip, Trump is seen tapping on a table as if typing on a computer and saying, “ba ba ba ba… fire, boom.”Another image featured a US drone striking Iranian fast boats alongside the caption: “BYE BYE, Fast boats”.Trump also posted an image portraying himself in outer space beneath the title “Space Force”, surrounded by satellites while overseeing missile strikes from orbit. In another image, he is shown pressing a kill button on a spacecraft, with multiple screens in the background displaying missile strikes and what appeared to be a nuclear blast. The latest online blitz came after Trump issued a fresh warning to Iran, saying it needed to move quickly toward a peace deal or “there won’t be anything left of them.”“For Iran, the clock is ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. “Time is of the essence.”Washington has been locked in conflict with Tehran since US and Israeli forces launched major strikes on the Islamic republic beginning February 28. Since then, efforts to break the impasse and make progress toward ending the war have struggled, while the conflict has sent energy prices soaring. The war has also led to an effective blockade of the critical Strait of Hormuz — a 33-km-wide waterway between Oman and Iran through which nearly 20 per cent of global oil exports pass during peacetime — and has drawn neighbours Israel and Lebanon into a deadly side conflict.
