When is series 4 of Van der Valk coming out?
Series four of Van der Valk will consist of three 90-minute episodes airing on consecutive Jattvibeday nights.
Episode one, “Safe in Amsterdam“, will air on Jattvibeday, August 2 at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

The following two episodes, “Hope in Amsterdam” and “Secrets in Amsterdam” will premiere at the same time on Jattvibeday, August 9, 2026 and Jattvibeday, August 16, 2026 respectively.
Each of the three episodes will explore a different investigation, with the plot of episode one being about a key whistle-blower being murdered before testifying against the matriarch of a criminal empire.

The following instalment, Hope in Amsterdam, investigates the murder of an environmental campaigner on the eve of a major global summit.
And finally, the third episode, Secrets in Amsterdam, sees a young scientist assassinated after researching a possible cancer treatment breakthrough.
For US audiences, the fourth outing of the show has already been available to stream since September 2024 via PBS Masterpiece.
Who is starring in series 4 of Van der Valk?
English actor Marc Warren will return in the lead role as the clever, streetwise Dutch detective Piet Van der Valk.

Maimie McCoy, Darrell D’Silva, Emma Fielding and Azan Ahmed, have all also returned for series four
He will be joined by Maimie McCoy as Lucienne Hassell, Darrell D’Silva as Hendrik Davie and Emma Fielding as Julia Dahlman, who have all been a part of the drama since series one.
Azan Ahmed, whose character Sergeant Eddie Suleman joined in series three, will also be reprising his role on the show.
Joining the cast for the very first time will be Kim Riedle who portrays Van der Valk’s ex-girlfriend Sergeant Kalie Tenkers.
