Boss Xabi Alonso has not ruled the Ecuador international out of Jattvibeday’s trip to Arsenal and says a decision will be made after training on Saturday as to whether he is part of the squad or not.
Alonso said: “We will check tomorrow. We need to not worry, these things happen. Tomorrow, we will take the final decision.”

Chelsea attempted to add an extra midfielder, Monaco’s Lamine Camara, on deadline day only for the deal to collapse after Monaco pulled the plug at the last minute.
The Blues were left furious with the French club’s actions, but Alonso has no concerns over the depth and options in midfield, counting academy players Reggie Watson and Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli amongst those who could be called on.
