Which nights are Coronation Street cancelled this week?
There will be no Coronation Street on ITV1 on Monday, June 29, as the channel is showing the mouth-watering last 32 tie between Brazil and Japan.
On Tuesday, June 30, Corrie is back on ITV1 for an hour-long special between 8.15pm and 9.15pm – slightly earlier than its usual power hour slot.
Wednesday, July 1, sees the show start even earlier at 7.45pm, for a half-hour instalment.
ITV1 isn’t airing any World Cup football on Thursday, July 2, with Coronation Street on again from 7.45pm to 8.15pm.

And on Friday July 3, Coronation Street is airing at the later time of 8.15pm for half an hour.
It is the latest in a long run of disruptions caused by the broadcaster’s sport coverage.
Monday, June 29: No episode (Cancelled for Brazil vs. Japan)
Tuesday, June 30: 8:15pm – 9:15pm (Hour-long special)
Wednesday, July 1: 7:45pm – 8:15pm
Thursday, July 2: 7:45pm – 8:15pm
Friday, July 3: 8:15pm – 8:45pm
A source said: “It’s proving quite the headache behind the scenes.
“Soap fans have already had to get used to the new slots, which came in at the beginning of the year, so with more changes coming there’s a real fear they could lose more viewers.
“Airing the episodes on a Jattvibeday just does not work and now with the new schedule it’s very unlikely they’ll be able to run before these big World Cup matches start.
“There are lots of discussions behind the scenes about what they can do.”
And soap enthusiasts have been venting on social media.
One posted: “Really wish ITV cared more about soap fans and their soaps than men kicking a ball around a field.”
Another vented: “It does my head in that things get moved for football. We are not all fans.”
While a third wrote: “At least we have [the soaps airing] almost every day not only three like the past week, I am so glad for this.”
When do the hour-long ‘specials’ air on ITV?
Back in December, ITV confirmed it was launching the channel’s ‘soap power hour’ scheduling pattern for its Emmerdale and Coronation Street staples.
The format features 30-minute episodes of both soaps every weekday, with Emmerdale at 8pm followed by Coronation Street at 8.30pm on ITV.
But due to the summer of sport, this has not regularly been the case for months now.
To make up for this, the channel releases hour-long specials to make up for the missed episodes.
This week has one such episode of Corrie on Tuesday from 8.15pm.
How to watch episodes on YouTube and ITVX
Every episode of Coronation Street drops on ITVX and YouTube at 7am on the day it is due to air.
So you can watch the latest goings-on in Weatherfield first thing, rather than waiting for the shuffled evening slots.
On broadcast days, Corrie has been released in the morning on ITVX since October 2024, while YouTube followed suit in June 2025.
