Will Conor McGregor retire if he loses to Max Holloway?
McGregor hasn’t said anything outright about potentially hanging up his gloves after UFC 329.
He did, however, signal that the end might be near during a BKFC press conference last May.
He said: “I’m happy with what I’ve done.
“There’s something else for me that’s in my gut right now and that’s kind of where I’m going.
“So we’ll see, greatness doesn’t rush. And right now Ireland is in my thoughts and that’s where I’m at.”
When will Conor McGregor fight next if he doesn’t retire after UFC 329?
After he finishes trading blows with Holloway, McGregor will have ONE fight left on his multi-million-pound contract with MMA’s top promotion.
And he claims to already have a date set for the final bout of his UFC contract.
During an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, he said: ”Right now, I am contracted, and I have both dates.
“I have both dates for my fight. I have July 11 — when would you think they would put me back in?
“April, 2027! It’s almost a year later! That’s ridiculous to me!”

Has Conor McGregor ever retired before?
The face of the UFC has retired a multitude of times over the years.
He’s retired THREE times since April 2016, with the first coming a few weeks after his shock loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 196.
His second hanging up of the gloves came in March 2019 after protracted negotiations with the UFC over his first fight since losing his grudge match to Khabib Nurmagomedov in October 2018.
Mystic Mac called it a day for a third time in January 2020, although he’d return to action the following January for an ill-fated rematch with Dustin Poirier.
