All new cars come with a warranty – the manufacturer’s guarantee to cover faulty parts and repair costs for a set period.
But not all warranties are equal, with some manufacturers offering four-year warranties while others extend the after-sales service for seven years.
Here’s a list of seven of the best Chinese cars brands and their respective warranties and dealer networks.
BYD (Build Your Dreams)
BYD offers a basic six-year warranty, along with an eight-year battery and drive unit cover.

Backed by car giant Stellantis, this is one of the fastest growing Chinese car brands in the UK and currently offers 800 points of sales and service across Europe.
All new cars come with a four-year warranty.
Chery/Omoda/Jaecoo/Lepas
Chery International offers seven-year warranties on the brands it owns. This includes Jaecoo and Omoda, which have a 124-strong dealer network between them.
Chery, which boasts an 80-strong network of dealers for its own brand, recently launched Lepas, which will have its own dealership in place,
MG
One of the best-known brands, MG offers seven-year warranties on all new cars. The Chinese car brand has a UK-wide dealership network of 180.
