THIS is the awkward moment a family was caught seemingly smuggling a child into Disneyland in a brazen bid to dodge paying £158 for a ticket.

The viral TikTok clip shows a couple queuing at a ticket booth with a bulky pushchair – appearing, at first glance, to be carrying a toddler.

But as the camera zooms in, an older boy is seen lying cramped beneath a mesh covering at the back of the pram, apparently hidden from staff.

The footage, posted by @sincitybornandraised, was captioned: “Disney so expensive they smuggling kids in.”

Other families in the queue appeared unaware of what was unfolding just feet away at the California Disneyland park in Downtown Anaheim.

It is not known whether the family made it inside – but viewers quickly questioned how the child would access rides without being detected, given all quests require a pass or digital Magic Band.

Ticket prices at Disneyland Park can reach eye-watering levels, with children aged three to nine costing up to $214 (£158).

Those aged 10 and over are charged as adults – exceeding $220 (£162) depending on the day.

Despite concerns, many viewers backed the parents.

One wrote: “I paid $194 (£143.50) for my 3-year-old last Friday. Let that parent be.”

Another said, “I hope they made it’, while a third added, “I saw nothing, heard nothing. Hope they have an amazing time at Disney“.

Others blamed rising costs, with one commenting: “This is Disneyland’s fault for their ridiculous high prices’, and another joking: ‘That’s horrible… where can I buy this stroller”.

One viewer added: ‘Disney needs to lower prices and manage crowds…. It’s nearly impossible to take a family trip.’

But critics were quick to hit back.

One said: “That is actually so sad, kid looks uncomfortable.”

Another asked: “How are they going to ride anything without a magic band? Like what’s the point?”

A third added: “People complaining it’s so expensive but Disney is overcrowded! I say raise the prices even more so less people can go and people can actually enjoy the park experience.”

It comes as Walt Disney World has announced a major crackdown on guests accused of abusing accessibility rules to skip its famously long queues.

Both its California and Florida resorts will now issue lifetime bans to parkgoers found to have lied about disabilities under its updated Disability Access Service (DAS) programme, which was revised on Tuesday.

On its official website, Disney directly addresses the issue in its FAQs, asking: “What happens if any of the statements made by a Guest in the process of registering for DAS are found to be not true?”

It then states: “If it is determined that any of the statements a guest made in the process of obtaining DAS are not true, the guest will be permanently barred from entering the Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort.”

The policy adds that anyone caught falsifying information will also be permanently banned from using Annual Passes, Magic Key passes, tickets and other park products, with all services forfeited and no refunds issued.

The Walt Disney Company has not issued further comment beyond the updated policy.
