PREMIER League giants Chelsea are looking to hire a payroll administrator offering as little as £19,000 a year to make sure their mega-rich stars get paid on time.
The club has an annual first-team squad wage bill of £155.5million — one of the top flight’s highest.

But the stars’ salaries will dwarf the £19,000-£40,000 on offer, depending on experience, for the admin worker.

The successful applicant, based at Stamford Bridge stadium in West London, will be full-time.

As well as sorting out wages for the players and 1,800 permanent and casual staff at the club, they will also dish out P45s if stars go.
The job’s main responsibilities read: “Processing of end-to-end payroll for 1,800+ for all monthly UK permanent and casual payrolls.
“Ensuring a high standard of accuracy is maintained and all statutory legislation is adhered to.
“Processing of Maternity, Sickness, Shared Parental Leave, Paternity Leave and other absences in line with Company Policy and statutory regulations.
“Produce and reconcile all reports as required to enable the authorisation of Bacs files.
“Preparation of payslips & P45’s.”
Applicants don’t need any qualifications, but they do need “excellent organisational skills and attention to detail” and be good at “manual calculations.
