Chloe, who began a 10 year relationship with Jake when she was 16, shared a collection of photos on Instagram from their time together and wrote heartbreaking words that moved celeb pals including Michelle Keegan and Ferne McCann.
“My first love, my childhood sweetheart,” began Chloe. “A love that taught me so much about life and myself, and even more so now your presence is no longer here.
“A complete pain in the arse most of the time, but always with the purest heart and the greatest soul. You touched so many lives and meant well in everything you did.
“I knew who you were… and I know what you wanted from life… a happy home and a loving family. Being the best dad was the most important thing to you & we always use to speak about it. You did that, Jake, with pride and made it look so easy and effortless. Like I knew you would.”

She recalled their first meeting in a bar, describing Jake as looking like he’d stepped out of a Ralph Lauren catalogue.
They danced and laughed the night away and, from that moment on, became inseparable best friends.
In their early 20s Towie turned them into stars, but fame had a detrimental impact on their relationship.
Chloe said neither of them wanted to be in the public eye and the pressures of the show put a strain on their romance.
Eventually, they split up, life taking them in different directions, but a mutual love and respect remained.
She reflected on his Prevu clothing brand and dubbed herself his “number one fan”.
And she remembered the time when he sang John Legend‘s Ordinary People to her, cementing it as their song.
Chloe admitted she’s struggled to process the loss of her one-time partner, and recalled their last in-person meeting on Valentine’s Day when she told him to take care of himself.
“You were such a massive and special part of my life, and I truly hoped that we would grow old, that I’d see you one day, happy and at peace with life,” she wrote.
“We’d smile at each other and be grateful that life had been good to us. But now I know that God had better plans for you.
“Heartache echoes through the world for you Jake. I’ve never seen so many people pour their love out for one person. I wish you could see it all — to realise just how deeply you were loved. I hope you can now, and that your mind is finally peaceful.
“You’ll be in my thoughts forever, and I’m sorry I couldn’t have saved you.”
She finished by sharing her hope Jake is now at peace and that they will someday be reunited.
