DERBY COUNTY have released four senior players — including Wayne Rooney’s cousin Jake Rooney — following the end of the Championship season.
John Eustace’s side confirmed their retained list after finishing eighth in the Championship and narrowly missing out on the play-offs.

The Rams announced defender Jake Rooney, the cousin of Manchester United and England legend Wayne Rooney, will leave Pride Park when his contract expires this summer.
Former Aston Villa and Bristol City ace Andreas Weimann is also departing after just one season in his second stint at the club.
Experienced duo Callum Elder and Ben Osborn complete the list of exits confirmed by Derby.
Defender Danny Batth remains in talks over a new one-year contract extension.

Goalkeepers Richard O’Donnell and Josh Vickers, along with defender Joe Ward, have already agreed fresh terms with the Championship club.
Rooney, 22, had once looked set for a breakthrough season after impressing during the early part of the 2023-24 campaign.

But the centre-back suffered a serious knee injury during a clash against Bolton Wanderers which ruled him out for the remainder of the season.
Another setback followed before Rooney returned last summer and featured against Burnley in the Carabao Cup.
Loan spells at Barnsley and Boston United followed, with the defender impressing during his time in the National League.
Former left-back Elder leaves after three years at Derby and was part of the squad that secured promotion back to the Championship under Paul Warne in 2024.
