Over 1,350 soldiers, mounted and on foot, and 300 musicians are involved in the procession – a spectacular display of Foot Guards, the Household Cavalry and King’s Troop.
Members of The Firm also took part, with Prince William, the colonel of the Welsh Guards arriving to the parade ground on horseback.
Meanwhile Princess Kate, 44, and her three kids (George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, eight) arrived in a horse drawn carriage to Horse Guards Parade.
King Charles, 77, and Queen Camilla, 78, rode in a separate carriage before the official inspection of the 1,400 soldiers was undertaken.
