The six-time major winner is accused of making “nonconsensual and inappropriate physical contact”, according to bombshell report in Golf Digest.

But the female employee rejected his advances, the outlet added.

After the woman came forward with her accusation, club officials reportedly confronted Mickelson on the golf course and forced him to leave the premises.

A spokesperson for Mickelson called the incident “a misunderstanding” and his attorney told the outlet that there was “a great deal of misinformation circulating” around the golfer’s alleged incident with the employee.

In February, the golfer stepped away from the sport due to a family health matter.

A statement from Mickelson’s spokesperson said: “Any misunderstanding has been cleared up. Phil continues to attend to a family health matter and is uncertain when he will be able to return to professional golf”.

Mickelson has three kids with his wife Amy who he married in 1996.

The Farms Golf Club told Golf Digest: “Following a staff member report of member misconduct, the Club provided immediate and ongoing support to the staff member, conducted a thorough independent investigation of the incident and took decisive action”.

“This individual is no longer a member of The Farms Golf Club”, they added.

Mickelson – a San Diego native – has been playing at the club for decades.

He is now being represented by top lawyer Tom Clare who represented the President of France Emmanuel Macron and his wife.

Clare claimed that the allegations laid before Mickelson can be “squarely contradicted by objective, video evidence”.

But Golf Digest said that their own investigation revealed there were no cameras in the area where the alleged assault took place and a spokesperson from the club verified that they have no video footage.
