TWO major motorways have ground to a halt following two crashes bringing chaos for rush hour traffic.
The M25 near Dartford Crossing and the M61 southbound near junction five for Westhoughton to junction four for Farnworth are both facing long queues.

The M61 is facing major delays after this morning’s crash
Commuters on the M25 are battling standstill traffic after a crash earlier today
There was a multi-vehicle crash shortly after 7am on the anti-clockwise of carriageway of the M25 near junction 2 for Darenth Interchange.
Congestion is reportedly stretching back to junction three and drivers are facing 40 minute delays.
National Highways said three of the four lanes have closed while Kent Police and Fire and Rescue are on the scene.
Traffic monitoring service Inrix reported there had been a smash between a car and a lorry.

Meanwhile, a traffic collision on the M61 has closed two of three lanes.
Drivers have been warned of half-an-hour delays as queues stretch back two miles.
National Highways said recovery has been arranged and is en-route to the scene.
