MANCHESTER UNITED’S midfield rebuild is not over yet with another top defensive midfielder being tracked.
According to Fabrizio Romano, United are being active in the market and talking with agents about what it would take to sign some of their targets.

One name near the top of that list is France midfielder Manu Kone.
The 25-year-old has impressed at the World Cup this summer and United view him as an ideal replacement for Casemiro, who has joined Inter Miami after his contract expired.

He currently plays for Roma in Serie A, but the club is well-known to be in financial trouble and could need to sell.
Roma boss Gian Piero Gasperini said: “It is undeniable that Roma have to balance the books.”

When asked specifically about Kone’s future he aded: “I hope that reaching the Champions League will be enough, but it is clear that balance sheets are essential for clubs, and there will be more clarity in the coming weeks.”
Reports in Italy suggest Kone could be available for around £47m.
United’s summer business kicked into gear this week with the arrival of Andrey Santos for £50m and Youri Tielemans for £35m.
That business has allowed United to sign two midfielders for the price their former target Mateus Fernandes went to Spurs for – £85m.
