However, the club’s St James’ Park home has also benefitted from an injection of cash.

The Gallowgate End has not boasted a scoreboard since 1993.
But Mags chiefs have long been aware that not everyone at SJP could see the Leazes End screen, which has been completely replaced, and have brought it back with a newly-erected one.
Another scoreboard has also been erected at the other side of the club’s most famous stand.

Jaissle posed proudly with a Newcastle shirt on the St James’ pitch – though the groundsman may not have been too happy.
He, his team and construction staff have worked through the summer to ensure a £10m pitch redevelopment is ready for the visit of Bayer Leverkusen this Saturday in what will be Jaissle’s home bow.
Newcastle also recently announced a three-year front-of-shirt partnership with Knox Hydrate. That agreement has also seen their Darsley Park training ground renamed “The Knox”.
The energy drink’s branding was there loud and proud behind Jaissle as he addressed journalists on Tyneside for the very first time in the stadium’s media room.
And the 38-year-old will also have a new-look technical area to operate from, with Knox advertisements also donning the top of his dugout above the bench.
Fans will be able to get a first glimpse of it this weekend with a double-header of friendlies, starting first with the Germans before playing French club Strasbourg the following day.
