Aman Ahluwalia shared her budget-friendly trick on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, which boasts 1.3million members.
She said she managed to bag a brand new sofa, complete with a footrest – at an almost 75 per cent discount.

She wrote: “Always check your Next ex-display items. I was saving up for this sofa and I couldn’t believe my eyes – £2599 down to £649.
“Best believe I bought it! This was Next Gallagher Retail Park in Birmingham.”

Other members of the group praised her bargain hunting, with one commenting: “Bargain of the day, it’s a lovely sofa.”
Another Facebook user, Lesley Bloomfield, also shared the hack online, where she managed to find ex-display items in Next stores at bargain prices.
She posted images of one chair originally priced at £425, now retailing for £280.
While an ex-display sofa was previously almost £2000, and now cost just £780.
Although there is no set time in the day or week when the retail chain puts these old displays up for sale, one user commented that many end up in Next Outlet stores, at slashed prices.
While another said it is best to check retail locations at the end of seasons, when new stock is being brought in.
