The government launched a Summer Bus Fare Offer, giving children aged five to 15 free travel on most local buses throughout August.
The scheme began on August 1 and runs until the end of August, meaning families have only a short time left to make use of the perk.

The Government predicted the scheme could benefit more than 14 million children across England, helping families cut the cost of days out during the school holidays.
Children can travel for free on thousands of bus routes operated by companies including First Bus, Stagecoach and Go-Ahead.

The offer applies to most local bus services, although families should check whether their particular route is included before travelling.
It means parents can potentially save the usual child fare, which typically costs between £1 and £2 per journey.
The free travel offer forms part of the government’s wider Great British Summer Savings scheme.
Other measures include discounts on children’s meals, cinema and theatre tickets and family attractions.
Transport Secretary, Heidi Alexander said: “We’re giving families room to breathe from the cost-of-living squeeze.
“With free bus travel for 5 to 15-year olds and discounts on kids’ meals at restaurants, cinema tickets and theme parks, we’re helping people make the most of the time they have together for the school holidays.”
