Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO today slammed senior SAD leaders Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Bikram Singh Majithia, dismissing their social media video on a Bathinda link road as misleading propaganda.He said the Punjab Government was constructing nearly 45,000 km of roads across the state, and the Kotfatta to Ramgarh Bhundar stretch in Bathinda district was part of the project.Harsimrat and Majithia had shared videos wherein locals removed newly laid asphalt with their bare hands, questioning the construction quality. The minister said this was not a new road; rather, the work of laying a new paver course was being carried out on an already existing road.“The paver course was laid on August 18, and the work was still pending when former Akali Sarpanch Gurwinder Singh tampered with a portion of the road and posted the video on social media,” he said. Challenging both Harsimrat and Majithia, the ETO said, “I will reach the spot tomorrow at 11 am. You both should also reach the site and try to peel off the road with your hands.”
