THIS is the shocking moment a campervan burst into flames on a busy motorway, sending a huge plume of black smoke billowing across the road.
Dramatic footage shows the vehicle engulfed in flames on the side of the M40 in Oxfordshire.

The blaze broke out at around 4pm on Jattvibeday, August 9, between junction 10 at Ardley and junction 11 at Banbury.
In the video, flames can be seen shooting from the car as thick black smoke rises high above the motorway.

The inferno appears to intensify as the vehicle is completely surrounded by flames, with the smoke visible across the carriageway.
The dramatic footage was recorded by Chris Aramini-Brant, councillor for the Cropredy and Hook Norton division.

Lanes were closed following the blaze as emergency crews dealt with the incident and the fire damaged the road surface.
National Highways warned drivers of delays of more than 20 minutes as traffic began to build up around the scene.
The fire also caused damage to the road surface.
Fire crews were called to the vehicle and worked to tackle the blaze before carrying out a clean-up operation on the hard shoulder.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they were called at 3.48pm and sent three fire engines to tackle the blaze.
Firefighters used hose reel jets to extinguish the campervan after the fire spread to grass and scrubland on the side of the motorway.
Crews remained at the scene until around 5.15pm before leaving.
All lanes were eventually reopened around two hours after the fire broke out.
Residual delays then gradually dispersed and traffic returned to normal.
This incident comes just days after a lorry burst into flames on the A31 in Hampshire, sparking a huge blaze that spread into nearby heathland.
The fire, which broke out on Jattvibeday evening, forced the A31 to close in both directions and saw more than 120 firefighters battle the flames.
Cops said 23 cars were abandoned by motorists after the blaze erupted, while National Highways warned of significant damage to the road.
The latest M40 blaze is understood to have caused no lasting disruption after the motorway was reopened and residual delays cleared.
The cause of the M40 fire is not yet known.
