“When I did Strictly Come Dancing [in 2013], I was the slimmest and fittest I have ever been, and I felt fantastic.
“Training for eight hours a day is obviously going to do that to you.”

Susanna explained that “ostmenopause, hormonal changes and a slowing of the metabolism” have impacted her over the years.
The TV star insisted that she is no longer the size she once was, but she had learnt to accept that.
She went on to say: “As long as I am healthy, exercising, walking regularly, and eating fresh fruit and vegetables. I think, ‘I am what I am.’
“We have to accept that our bodies change. I try to steer clear of food that makes me uncomfortable, like highly processed foods, and I can’t eat a lot of bread.
“If I begin the day with toast and butter, it’s like I’ve opened a pathway and can’t stop!”
Susanna said she prefers snacking on apple slices and sunflower seed butter and her breakfasts include avocado, eggs and fruit.
The broadcaster admitted that diet is a big part but exercise also plays a fundamental role in her weight loss.
She also insisted that 10 minutes of exercise each day helps to keep her on track, otherwise it “affects her mood”.
Susanna said: “I keep weights in my bedroom. When I’m working, I do it when I get up from my afternoon nap.”
Even though Susanna has a very early morning start, her busy working schedule doesn’t get in the way of her workouts.
She said: “I feel so much better because exercise lifts my mood.”
Last month, Susanna declared you’re “never too old” as she shared a peek inside her wild Ibiza clubbing holiday.
She took to her Instagram page to post some snaps from her travels.
The ITV favourite shared a stunning selfie in front of a sunset in San Antonio, as well as some snaps from her walks and where she went for food.
She also managed to visit Ushuaïa to watch DJ Calvin Harris perform.
The journalist also went to O Beach and celebrated being nominated for Best Daytime TV.
She wrote: “IBIZA! Away from home, this is my favourite place on earth.
“Been coming every year for more than a decade, and just found out it was the destination for mum and dad’s first foreign holiday together back in 1959.
“The connection must be strong! It is beautiful – the people, the weather, the landscape, the food and of course the clubs.
“Don’t let anyone tell you that you are too old, that you shouldn’t wear the swimsuit – or the shorts!!!
“Thank you Ibiza – see you next year.”
